5G technology: Airlines suspend some US flights over deployment issue

Both ANA and Japan Airways stated they canceled some flights to the United States scheduled to use Boeing 777 aircraft, but will operate some flights applying Boeing 787s rather.

Germany’s Lufthansa canceled a flight among Frankfurt and Miami. It said it would swap Boeing 747-8 plane for 747-400s on flights from Frankfurt to Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco.

A spokesperson for British Airways instructed CNN Company that it “experienced to make a handful of cancellations” since a decision by telecom operators to hold off activating the new 5G assistance at some destinations didn’t deal with all the airports the airline serves.

Other carriers such as Virgin Atlantic and Air France-KLM explained they experienced not canceled any flights but have been monitoring the circumstance.
